The "Jungfrau" collection was created working to a brief, taking inspiration from either a 2D/3D piece from Nottingham Castle and Gallery’s permanent collection. That chosen piece was ‘Jungfrau, Switzerland, Dawn’ by Marjorie Martin-Richards. Below, a series of paintings, drawings and collages in response to the mountainscape painting, resulting in the concluding outcome. Painterly in style; a textile art piece, screen printed entirely by hand with reactive dyes on cotton, measuring approx 135 x 140 cm.
